edici Tarot decks were created with focus on Lorenzo de' Medici and how mysticism played an important role in his life, and possibly after his death. The tarot story line includes divinations for each card then shows Lorenzo's interests in Hermeticism and why it took 560 years for a deck of tarot to be developed in the Medici name when Visconti Sforza tarot deck was created in 15th century. In 2009, Artist Londa Marks was the first to create a tarot deck in the Medici name. Some of the Medici family are shown on the cards including Lorenzo de' Medici, Cosimo de' Medici, Giovanni di Bicci de' Medici, Lucrezia Tornabuoni and other Medici family figures, each playing a role in Lorenzo de' Medici's alchemy of the Medici Tarot. Each image was carefully selected and assembled to fit the tarot card's format. Three different versions are available with similar cards but different designs. Medici Tarot is in the World of Tarot Series and is part of a 7-Volume Set.

Dedicated to the Cafaggiolo Medici

In January 2009, the first deck of Medici Tarot ever created was by Londa Marks, 560 years after Lorenzo de' Medici ruled Florence, Italy. It was artisan crafted & printed on archival papers with archival inks by her son at her studio then gifted to: Cafaggiolo - Villa Medicea in Tuscany Italy, in April 2010. Cafaggiolo was Cosimo de' Medici - The Elder, and Lorenzo de' Medici's (il Magnifico) former home. It was called "Cafaggiolo de' Medici" by 1359 when Averado de' Medici owned it. Averado was Cosimo's grandfather. (Painting on right is Castello Mediceo di Cafaggiolo, in a view by Giusto (or Gustav) Utens, 1599).
